Meet our successful 2026 Scholarships Applicants for Level 1!
- 19 December 2025
We are deeply committed to meeting the urgent need for health professionals who can recognise and treat disordered breathing. Each day, we hear from patients around the world searching for trained providers in their region. To help meet this demand, we offer scholarships that cover 25% or 50% of course fees.
"I would like to thank you for the opportunity to attend the level 1 course with a scholarship, it means a lot to me to receive this opportunity as it will enable me to expand my knowledge and skills and be able to apply this in my workplace to clients who would really benefit from this method. I work with people with ME/CFS and Long COVID and am becoming more aware of the number of people who potentially have an underlying breathing pattern disorder with or without an underlying respiratory cause and the benefit of breathing retraining could have on their quality of life. I am excited to start the course in February.
I live in the Isle of Man, which is a small island between England and Ireland. The population is around 85,000. We have a local healthcare system similar to the NHS but due to the size of the population some health services are transferred off island. I currently work with people with ME/CFS and Long COVID, we are in a relatively new combined service, it is likely in the future that the service will include other linked conditions and these are likely to be a population that would benefit from addressing dysfunctional breathing also." - Nikki Andrea, Isle of Man
"I am deeply thankful, grateful and honoured to be one of the candidates to be awarded the Bradcliff Scholarship. This opportunity means a great deal to me, as it allows me to further develop my skills and be equipped with new, evidence-based tools that will directly enhance the care I provide to my patients. The knowledge gained through this course will be invaluable in my work with patients in ICU with acute respiratory conditions, as well as those living with chronic respiratory disease, including COPD, and those requiring post-operative respiratory care. It will also strengthen my ability to support renal patients and individuals experiencing anxiety which presents in most patients with pain and/or disability/long hospital stays, where breathing dysfunction often plays a significant role. In addition, this training will greatly benefit my work with paediatric respiratory conditions, as well as patients with acute and chronic thoracic and neck pain, where breathing patterns and thoracic mobility are closely linked. Beyond individual patient care, I am excited to share this learning with fellow colleagues, contributing to a higher standard of care and a more holistic, compassionate approach to respiratory rehabilitation across diverse patient populations. I am so looking forward to the learning and experience!" - Tyla-jade Spike, South Africa
"My name is Lisa Johnston and I am very grateful to receive a partial scholarship for the Bradcliff level 1 course. I have wanted to do the training for a long time and this is a wonderful opportunity for me to complete the course. I work in a clinic located in a rural community in South Otago and look forward to being able to assess breathing dysfunction and incorporate the Bradcliff Method into the management of my patients." - Lisa Johnston, New Zealand
"I am extremely grateful to have been awarded a partial scholarship for the Level 1 Bradcliff Breathing Course. I am a Physiotherapist from Perth, Western Australia, and have spent the past year working in London, UK, gaining valuable clinical experience across diverse healthcare settings.
Over my six-year career, I have developed a strong professional interest in working with patients affected by respiratory conditions, both in acute hospital environments and within rehabilitation settings. I am excited to have the opportunity to further enhance my clinical expertise and deepen my understanding in this area through the Bradcliff Breathing Course. As I return to Perth, I am confident that the knowledge and skills gained will allow me to provide a consistently high standard of care and make a meaningful contribution to the respiratory health of my patients." - Julia Tatlow, Australia
"I am deeply honored to be selected as a BradCliff Scholarship winner. Based in Busan, South Korea, I have over 30 years of clinical experience treating chronic pain, neurological disorders, and geriatric balance issues.
I have constantly witnessed how breathing dysfunction correlates with pain, anxiety, and movement limitations. This opportunity allows me to integrate evidence-based breathing strategies into my practice, helping my community breathe better and move with greater confidence." - Jung-hee lm, South Korea
“I work in the South West of Western Australia with community adults with respiratory concerns. I enjoy building a client’s capacity to self-manage their respiratory condition, and hope this scholarship will further aid my knowledge to improve breathing patterns. I also have a special interest in paediatrics, so am hoping I’ll learn how our breathing can support growth and development of a child.” - Courtney McKean, Australia
“As a new graduate physiotherapist practicing in Vancouver, British Columbia, working in private outpatient orthopaedic practice, I am incredibly grateful to have received a partial scholarship for the BradCliff Level 1 Breathing Course! This opportunity allows me to further develop specialized skills in an area of practice that remains largely underserved, especially in the outpatient world. Whether someone is managing symptoms of long COVID, living with asthma, or aiming to optimize respiratory mechanics to enhance performance and recovery, I am excited to integrate these evidence-informed strategies into my clinical practice and to support the ongoing education of colleagues interested in expanding their own respiratory care skills.” - Alice Kennedy, Canada
"I am truly grateful to have been awarded the Bradcliff Scholarship. As a physiotherapist working in South Africa, gaining expertise in the Bradcliff techniques will be highly beneficial to both my practice and the communities I serve. I have worked extensively with patients in rural areas who often have limited access to equipment and ongoing medical care. I firmly believe that equipping these patients with effective, evidence-based breathing techniques will empower them to better manage their symptoms independently. This training will also enhance my ability to treat individuals in low-income settings and contribute to improving healthcare access where it is needed most." - Niki Morris, South Africa
"I am grateful to receive a partial BradCliff Breathing scholarship for the online Level 1 course. As a physiotherapist working in Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Toronto, this opportunity is especially meaningful.
My clinical focus and passion has long been in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and helping people breathe more effectively, and the skills and insights gained through the BradCliff Breathing course will support my ability to apply evidence‑informed techniques to improve breathing efficiency, physical function, and quality of life for people living with chronic lung disease and other breathing‑related conditions across hospital‑based care and private clinical practice." - Prashna Singh, Canada
