Meet our successful 2026 Scholarships Applicants for Level 1!

  • 19 December 2025

We are deeply committed to meeting the urgent need for health professionals who can recognise and treat disordered breathing. Each day, we hear from patients around the world searching for trained providers in their region. To help meet this demand, we offer scholarships that cover 25% or 50% of course fees.

Nikki Andrea, Isle of Man"I would like to thank you for the opportunity to attend the level 1 course with a scholarship, it means a lot to me to receive this opportunity as it will enable me to expand my knowledge and skills and be able to apply this in my workplace to clients who would really benefit from this method. I work with people with ME/CFS and Long COVID and am becoming more aware of the number of people who potentially have an underlying breathing pattern disorder with or without an underlying respiratory cause and the benefit of breathing retraining could have on their quality of life. I am excited to start the course in February.

I live in the Isle of Man, which is a small island between England and Ireland. The population is around 85,000. We have a local healthcare system similar to the NHS but due to the size of the population some health services are transferred off island. I currently work with people with ME/CFS and Long COVID, we are in a relatively new combined service, it is likely in the future that the service will include other linked conditions and these are likely to be a population that would benefit from addressing dysfunctional breathing also." - Nikki Andrea, Isle of Man

Tyla-jade Spike, South Africa, work with patients in ICU with acute respiratory conditions, as well as those living with chronic respiratory disease, including COPD, and those requiring post-operative respiratory care"I am deeply thankful, grateful and honoured to be one of the candidates to be awarded the Bradcliff Scholarship. This opportunity means a great deal to me, as it allows me to further develop my skills and be equipped with new, evidence-based tools that will directly enhance the care I provide to my patients. The knowledge gained through this course will be invaluable in my work with patients in ICU with acute respiratory conditions, as well as those living with chronic respiratory disease, including COPD, and those requiring post-operative respiratory care. It will also strengthen my ability to support renal patients and individuals experiencing anxiety which presents in most patients with pain and/or disability/long hospital stays, where breathing dysfunction often plays a significant role. In addition, this training will greatly benefit my work with paediatric respiratory conditions, as well as patients with acute and chronic thoracic and neck pain, where breathing patterns and thoracic mobility are closely linked. Beyond individual patient care, I am excited to share this learning with fellow colleagues, contributing to a higher standard of care and a more holistic, compassionate approach to respiratory rehabilitation across diverse patient populations. I am so looking forward to the learning and experience!" - Tyla-jade Spike, South Africa

This opportunity allows me to further develop specialized skills in an area of practice that remains largely underserved, especially in the outpatient world. Whether someone is managing symptoms of long COVID, living with asthma, or aiming to optimize respiratory mechanics to enhance performance and recovery, I am excited to integrate these evidence-informed strategies into my clinical practice and to support the ongoing education of colleagues interested in expanding their own respiratory care skills.” - Alice Kennedy, Canada

Niki Morris, physiotherapist working in South Africa"I am truly grateful to have been awarded the Bradcliff Scholarship. As a physiotherapist working in South Africa, gaining expertise in the Bradcliff techniques will be highly beneficial to both my practice and the communities I serve. I have worked extensively with patients in rural areas who often have limited access to equipment and ongoing medical care. I firmly believe that equipping these patients with effective, evidence-based breathing techniques will empower them to better manage their symptoms independently. This training will also enhance my ability to treat individuals in low-income settings and contribute to improving healthcare access where it is needed most." - Niki Morris, South Africa

Prashna Singh, physiotherapist working in Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Toronto, Canada"I am grateful to receive a partial BradCliff Breathing scholarship for the online Level 1 course. As a physiotherapist working in Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Toronto, this opportunity is especially meaningful.

My clinical focus and passion has long been in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and helping people breathe more effectively, and the skills and insights gained through the BradCliff Breathing course will support my ability to apply evidence‑informed techniques to improve breathing efficiency, physical function, and quality of life for people living with chronic lung disease and other breathing‑related conditions across hospital‑based care and private clinical practice." - Prashna Singh, Canada

Vaidehi Pandit, Registered Physiotherapist practicing in Kingston, Ontario, Canada."My name is Vaidehi Pandit, and I am a Registered Physiotherapist currently practicing in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. In my current role, I work with clients across a wide range of age groups, from teenagers to older adults. Through my clinical experience, I have noticed that many of my patients present with dysfunctional breathing patterns that have gradually become their “normal,” often without their awareness. I had not fully appreciated the significance of breathing until my colleague, Christine Campbell, PT, introduced me to the fundamentals of breathing assessment and retraining, and how these concepts can be integrated into physiotherapy practice. Christine has completed both levels of the Bradcliff Breathing Methods courses and encouraged me to pursue this training. Receiving this scholarship and taking the Bradcliff Breathing course will allow me to deepen my understanding of breathing mechanics and dysfunction. I am confident this knowledge will enhance my clinical skills and better equip me to help my patients restore more efficient and healthy breathing patterns. Thank you very much for this opportunity and your support." - Vaidehi Pandit, Canada

Megan O'Mahony, a respiratory physiotherapist serving the Mid West of Ireland."Receiving this scholarship is both a privilege and a meaningful opportunity to further develop my skills as a respiratory physiotherapist serving the Mid West of Ireland. Working at University Hospital Limerick, I support a large and socially diverse population across Limerick, Clare, North Tipperary and surrounding counties, many of whom experience significant social and economic disadvantage and carry a high burden of chronic respiratory disease.

Many people in our community face challenges such as higher rates of smoking, disability, and limited access to health information and care. I am committed to supporting them with understanding and respect using the skills I will learn on this scholarship. The course will enable me to build specialist expertise in breathing pattern disorders and long-term breathlessness management, directly benefiting patients with complex respiratory needs while also allowing me to share this knowledge with colleagues across the hospital group to improve the quality of care delivered to this vulnerable population.

I am honoured to receive this scholarship, which supports my ongoing professional development as a respiratory physiotherapist in the Mid West region. I will also share the knowledge I learn with my team, so together we can improve respiratory care for everyone in our region." - Megan O'Mahony, Ireland

Diana, Respiratory Rehabilitation Day Program at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Canada"Receiving the Bradcliff Training Method scholarship would be a meaningful and transformative opportunity to further enhance my clinical practice within the Respiratory Rehabilitation Day Program at St. Joseph’s Healthcare. With over two decades of experience working with individuals living with chronic lung disease, I am deeply committed to continually refining my skills to better support patients with complex, long-term respiratory conditions. The Bradcliff Training Method’s emphasis on advanced movement analysis, postural control, and functional breathing strategies strongly aligns with my clinical focus on optimizing physical function, symptom management, and quality of life for individuals with COPD and other chronic respiratory diseases. This training would allow me to integrate more nuanced, evidence-informed movement and breathing interventions into pulmonary rehabilitation, particularly for patients with deconditioning, balance impairments, and co-morbid chronic disease. Beyond direct patient care, the scholarship would also enhance my role as a clinical lead, educator, and adjunct faculty member by strengthening my ability to mentor students and colleagues, translate advanced concepts into clinical practice, and support innovation within interprofessional care. Ultimately, this opportunity would directly benefit the patients I serve by expanding the depth, precision, and effectiveness of my therapeutic approach, while reinforcing my ongoing commitment to excellence in respiratory physiotherapy practice." - Diana, Canada

Sinead Cleary, a Chronic Disease Respiratory Physiotherapist working across community-based Ambulatory Care Hubs in the North Tipperary and East Limerick region in Ireland“Receiving this scholarship is a valuable opportunity to further develop my skills as a Chronic Disease Respiratory Physiotherapist working across community-based Ambulatory Care Hubs in the North Tipperary and East Limerick region in Ireland. Anne Johnson, works in a Cancer Centre within a regional hospital in Victoria, Australia."I am looking forward to participating in the Bradcliff Breathing online course and am grateful for the scholarship.

For the past six years I have worked in a Cancer Centre within a regional hospital in Victoria, Australia. Over the years I have worked with respiratory patients in a variety of settings including ICU, Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs.

Breathing dysfunction and dyspnoea are common amongst all patients undergoing cancer treatments.  I am especially interested in incorporating these tools in the management of the lung cancer population. I can see they will be beneficial in optimising recovery for patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgical management of cancer. To have access to evidence based assessment and treatment tools will not only improve the management of patients with respiratory issues but will also allow for service development within our cancer centre. Impacts of cancer treatment can be ongoing for years into survivorship and to improve the ability to breathe will improve independence and quality of life.

I am also happy to see clinicians from around the world participating in the course." - Anne Johnson, Australia
