"I’m delighted to receive this scholarship for the Bradcliff breathing method! I am a respiratory clinical specialist physiotherapist based in a busy acute hospital in Ireland. I work with patients who have a range of respiratory conditions including COPD and interstitial lung disease and would love to be able to offer breathing pattern management strategies to these patients. Am looking forward to learning about this area, which is new to me!" - Sara Keane, Ireland

Tress Gibdon, Alberta Canada Bradcliff"Thank you for choosing me to be a recipient of the BradCliff Breathing Method scholarship. I am privileged to be a physiotherapist, providing services to an Indigenous community in central Alberta. There is often a difficulty to access basic health care amenities, let alone access to this type of service. To be able to offer something to a community, where many are afflicted with stress, anxiety, chronic pain, traumas (of all types) and triggers, poor physical environmental living conditions, (much of which is not of their choosing), would have such a positive impact and improve the quality of life for many and their families. I look forward to this education and being able to help where possible." - Tress Gibson, Canada

Asher Goldberg, South Africa Bradcliff"I am so grateful to have been awarded a scholarship for this course. I work in a private hospital in Pretoria, South Africa and treat a variety of conditions in the medical ICU and wards. I have noted an increase in the presentation of undiagnosed COPD and other chronic respiratory pathologies and am interested in managing these on an outpatient basis. I am looking forward to learning from experts in the field and am sure that the skills I will gain from the Bradcliff Method will make a significant difference in the management of my patients and enhancing their quality of life. Thank you for this opportunity." - Asher Goldberg, South Africa

Debbie McNamee, NZ Bradclii Breathing"Kia ora kautou. I'm honoured to be one of the recipients selected for the Bradcliff Breathing scholarship program. I work in the Eastern Bay of Plenty - Aotearoa New Zealand as a community based physiotherapist. I inspire to reduce access barriers for our rural community, many of whom are living with chronic respiratory conditions. Being selected for this scholarship will allow me to create a more knowledgeable and individualised approach to my clients' care." - Debbie McNamee, NZ

Amy Weideman South Africa“I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to be able to partake in this course. Since starting my studies in 2019, I have had an interest in the cardiopulmonary field of physiotherapy. After completing my qualification, I was privileged enough to join a practice that takes a special interest in patients requiring acute and rehabilitative cardiopulmonary care. It was here that I first heard about BradCliff and the valuable insight it provides into managing a patient with respiratory limitations. I am grateful to have received this scholarship that will allow me to experience the benefits of the BradCliff method so early on in my career!

I work as a physiotherapist and pilates instructor in Johannesburg, South Africa. I see patients with both acute and chronic respiratory conditions; patients whose respiratory system and overall body condition has taken a toll due to long hospital/ICU stays; neurological disorders that result in respiratory involvement as well as geriatric patients requiring end of life care. I am looking forward to further benefitting my patient’s wellbeing by expanding my skills and knowledge.” - Amy Weideman, South Africa

Elyse Clarke, physiotherapist, Whangarei NZ"I see pelvic health patients, acute inpatients and patients on the inpatient rehabilitation ward. I see lots of patients that have breathing concerns that make their other health conditions worse. I work with a lots of people that live very rurally and find it difficult to access health care - completing this course will mean more effective and efficient treatment." - Elyse Clarke, physiotherapist, Whangarei NZ

"I am so grateful to have been awarded this scholarship and I cannot wait to start integrating the Bradcliff Breathing Method into my practice! I am a Speech-Language Pathologist working in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with a very wide range of lovely clients. I often work with individuals experiencing voice problems that are directly impacted by their breath. I am thrilled to be expanding my knowledge and start offering these clients specific tools to improve their breathing, voice and overall wellbeing!" – Jenna Stetz, Calgary

Sue Watson, Scotland, UK"Hello from the Highlands of Scotland - I’m so grateful to have been awarded a scholarship to help support my offering as a craniosacral and physiotherapist where I am in the early stages of re-establishing my private practice after moving to this remote part of the country where therapists are sparse and people have to travel far for their healthcare. In recent years I have come to work with increasing numbers of people with altered breathing among the Long Covid, burnout and stress related conditions I see, and whilst I recognise breathing patterns are affected, I would like to be able to offer a better informed, evidence-based treatment and advice. I see a great opportunity to diversify into this growing area of work, both in the healthy populations wishing to improve understanding and performance as well as those challenged by chronic health issues. I also work with a local charity supporting chronic pain and anxiety management where I anticipate this work will be particularly helpful. I’m look forward to seeing what the course has to offer and hearing from the experts in their field." Sue Watson

Karoline Fürlinger, Perth, AU"Receiving this scholarship means several things: Firstly, it allows me to adopt a more holistic approach in my daily clinical practice consisting predominantly of people with musculoskeletal injuries, acute and chronic pain. But above all I'm extremely excited to give the patients in our Perth metro clinic access to a new empowering tool to assist with the management of their conditions. To acquire a set of skills and knowledge that focuses on respiratory dysfunctions in the context of musculoskeletal pain represents an invaluable opportunity for me to share education about the importance of breathing with the wider public." - Karoline Fürlinger, Perth, AU

Hannah Carter, New Zealand"I am very grateful to have received a scholarship for the upcoming Bradcliff Breathing course, which I am very excited to be a part of. This is for numerous reasons; breathing dysfunction is becoming increasingly common in our vestibular, respiratory, neurological and wider range of conditions we see in our community setting here in Wellington. We treat a diverse population and having increased knowledge in breathe work will allow me to help treat more people who are using our services, including vulnerable people who can't access clinics. It will also allow me to have another string my 'community bow' where we are often making discoveries or bringing another lens, as we explore both our patients abilities and challenges. I am really grateful to have the opportunity to extend my knowledge and confidence in this area of physiotherapy. Thank you!" - Hannah Carter, New Zealand

Shravani Kale India"I am profoundly grateful and delighted to have been awarded this scholarship. As a cardiopulmonary physiotherapist practising at a community-based Pulmonary Rehabilitation Centre in Mumbai, India, I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to join the course. This experience will undoubtedly enhance my understanding of breathing retraining techniques and provide valuable insights into the relatively unexplored impairments associated with dysfunctional breathing. Such knowledge will significantly augment our clinical practices and contribute to improving the quality of life for patients with chronic respiratory diseases and related conditions." - Shravani Kale, India

Ashley Palacio, Montana, USA"I am so grateful for this scholarship! I am a board certified cardiovascular and pulmonary physical therapist in Hamilton, Montana. I work with individuals with chronic lung conditions. We have one pulmonologist in our community and one with the VA that are 50 miles from us, while other individuals must travel 3-4 hours to see one. I work with individuals with chronic lung conditions to help them learn ways to improve their quality of life. This scholarship will allow me to learn more ways to help individuals within our community improve their quality of life. I cannot thank you enough for this amazing opportunity!" - Ashley Palacio, Montana, USA

“Thank you for awarding me the BradCliff Breathing Method scholarship. I am a private practicing physiotherapist with special interests in critical care and pulmonary rehabilitation. I currently service the Pietermaritzburg city in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.
Our community is made up of a large population of individuals affected by chronic lung disease and breathing dysfunction with limited access to a pulmonary rehabilitation clinic. I believe that this scholarship will provide me with the skill set needed to create awareness, mitigate poor breathing patterns and improve overall quality of life.
Since the pandemic, our cohort of individuals struggling with breathing dysfunction has become more complex and multi faceted. I am certain that the BradCliff Breathing Method will provide a guide to better understand our patient population to ensure optimal outcomes.” - Kamir Baldeo, South Africa

"I work as a physiotherapist in the UK at a Cancer Centre setting where people have so many reasons to present with altered breathing patterns. I am really pleased to receive this scholarship so I can work towards updating my skills to support this worthy population." - Cathy Sandsund MSc MCSP, London, England

"I have been an avid breath work participant ever since trying my first breath work class in 2020. I was going through an all-consuming emotional grief and it was the only way I was able to regulate my emotions during full time study and full time work. I have since moved into working as a physiotherapist in paediatric / exercise therapy realm and have noticed how they are so intuitively interrelated. I am excited for Brad cliff to help me delve further into this practice." - Stephanie Flaherty, NSW Australia

I am looking forward to adding a different skill set to my toolbox, hoping that this course can help me to offer something else to the practice I work for. I am a private practice Physiotherapist that works in a hospital in South Africa - my main area of interest is respiratory and complex rehabilitation post icu." - Lara Honey, South Africa
